Sooooo the question is, what are these kinda things like?

Disgusting
Terrible
Horrible
Appalling
Cheap
Nasty
Shocking
Vile
Awful
Revolting
Dreadfull

Should I go on? These things aren't even worth the rubbish their made from. To call them fisheye is a bit of a disgrace, really all your getting is a badly distorted image that looks remotely like a fisheye. They severely reduce quality and especially the sharpness of your images, and chromatic abboration is everywhere!

You've just bought an slr, save up, and buy some decent kit. Don't waste your money on these, further delaying you from having anything good.

Woah there...

Ok... i wont.. just merely asking about them as i was dubious of them myself. The main reason for interest was only because fish lenses are ££££

I am just so passionate about how bad they are, I wish they were banned haha. In all honesty, they ruin "fisheye" in general.

IMO fish-eye should be kept till last, buy the lenses you nkow you'll use a lot first before getting a fish-eye (obviously meaning when yuo've had the money to purchase the lenses in the first place) as fisheye gets very boring very quickly.

What I mean by that is you'll use it constantly for a few weeks untill you get bored then it'll be rare that it gets used after that.

They are useful to have, don't get me wrong, but they're not essential, you'd be better off getting a wideangle so you can use it for landscapes as well as riding.

If you get close enough with a wideangle too, you can get a small fish eye effect too.
