Unfortunately, no excuse for the lack of news. Well, everyone on here seems to have been in a different country ever other week, but that's about it. There are many sites that simply make it their priority to report on more quicker, and with all the dealing with the forum, it's dropped quite far down the priority list.
Out of interest, is it worth any forum members sending in reviews/reports etc? I (and many others I'm sure) have bits of free time here and there and would be more than happy to do some kit reviews or race reports for sdh.
Yes, go for it, that would be fantastic. I will be setting something up for our members properly soon for such reviews, but for now if you feel you have something that could go on the front page email me at rob@southerndownhill.com

have you guys thought about making your Newswire board part of the front page? that way the press releases would be on the front page as news, granted it would be a bit like pinkbike and nsmb but you all get the same press news so that cant be helped, but it would keep the front of the site changing and fresh. just an idea, i have no idea how much work that would be.
