MRP releases the Mini-G

GRAND JUNCTION, June 19 - Following in the footsteps of its highly acclaimed G2 chainguide, the Mini-G is just what the name implies: a more compact version of the G2.  With the Mini-G, MRP has designed and built an extremely strong, durable chainguide that is also super light.  Boasting a weight of only 219g, the complete Mini-G guide weighs less than most bash rings by themselves! It simply offers the best protection/ weight ratio of any chainguide to date.

  • 219g complete
  • 13mm thick replaceable injection molded thermoplastic skid
  • 5mm thick alloy boomerang w/ weight optimized relief’s and stiffening rib
  • Super quiet, high-memory pulley wheel w/ sealed cartridge bearing
  • Gold anodized boomerang
  • ISCG, ISCG-05, and BB-mount options available
  • 32-36 tooth capacity
  • MRSP: £109.99
  • Available in August 2008
  • US Patent #7066856

The Mini-G shares many features of its bigger brother the G2, including the extended skid, which protects the lower guide, single bolt attachment of upper and lower guides for ease of installation, and three-point attachment of the skid to the boomerang for added strength and stiffness. In addition, its 10mm of increased ground clearance means you’ll actually contact rocks less often!

Ideal for any single ring application from Downhill to MX to Freeride, the Mini-G has the durability and fail-safe chain retention that riders demand.  Cross-country and All Mountain riders will be stoked to drop up to a full pound of weight by switching to a 1x9 setup with the Mini-G.

MRP is a small company based in Grand Junction, Colorado. With countless World Cup and World Championship victories, MRP has been the choice of champions since 1996. MRP’s patented technologies put them at the top as the leader in smooth, silent, reliable chain retention.
