whats the uplift like at myndd du, i.e how many runs am likely to get in on the saturday and sunday.
I need to know, so as to justify spending £70 on entry.

I've heard its an amazing course

The uplift is long, but there's also a short ride to get to the pickup point, which tends to mean that the queues aren't too long.  You get dropped literally at the start line.
It's not normally too bad for transport - as long as all the wagons don't break down  Smiley

Grand course though.

Its worth £70 to spend the weekend there, hope the weather stays dry or I may as well walk down the fecking course.  It would be quicker than trying to ride it.

Oh yes I do, but I enjoy going just as slow in the knowledge that my factory tuned shim stack and Ti spring will keep things under much better control should, one day, my brain allow me to stop breaking and my lungs allow me to pedal now and then.

This is my first dragon of 2008, and the first time I've managed to be in the UK for Mynydd Du for about 2 years... No way I'm gonna miss a race there if I don't have to, its a bloody wicked track! Can't wait!  Cheesy

Yo emily, you could always do the Du on your Hardtail and score super uber cool points for being a girly HT racer, i promise to keep the boys in order ( swearing and stuff ) in your presence if you do.

P.S.  are you camping or crashing at jeff and jenn's, just curious, you will know me by the long hair and fetish for studded denim jackets ....

Camping is ok at the venue.
But i am bringing Ratchet with me ( another hardtail ) and he hates camping and nether of us have a tent, so we are roughing it, with a kebab house across the road and sofa each, and a kettle and a warm toilet and shower etc etc.
Went up to do the Du yesterday, its was a hot dry day the track was running fast, one of billys mates whacked a tree and broke his finger and billy ripped the sidewalls out on both tyres on the first run, tubeless so he was shagged, put some pics up over on hardtailnation, interesting use for an allen key,  3 hardtails there ripping it up and asking how jason was going to tape the track ?
No entry list up yet for the champs so get those entrys in before its too late

aaah, well my hardtail has recently been decomissioned and made into a fully rigid so I don't think I'll do that thanks... gotta get the Yeti out for this one! Not sure if I'm staying at Monet's yet, it may be just as close to go up from Bristol.. no camping for me!
