I did it, it was a laugh. Did three laps of the Technical and re-rode the first section. No idea of results as they couldn't be pulled together in time. The chips didn't work all the time either - on the last section I wentthrough the finish, didn't hear a beep, so had to ride back and go through the finish again the get the beep.  Hopefully the times will be meaningful.

I had a top day out, but learned just how unfit I really am…
2 loops, repeated the first section one extra time too, my timing chip seemed to work fine but I know several people who had lots of trouble…

A mate who camped over till Sunday reckoned he’d been told there was a good chance there might not be any actual race times posted, as the timing was quite buggy…

Not that it matters, I was very slow and unfit and boy do I know it, but the whole event was very good, well run, a good course and the sort of thing we should have more of in the UK…

It’s the sort of thing that gets people riding at trail centres, and improves fitness, it’s got me wanting a new trail bike to do just that sort of riding more often…

it was a good day and a good format. sunshine helped plus its a nice change actually being on the bike all day rather than waiting for uplifts etc.

if thats the case then its pretty piss poor. £30 for a numberplate and a pair of socks.

Same here, I had a good day riding the timing isn't too important really, I'm not too sure I want to know just how much my mates beat me by...

Plus if there are times I don't reckon they'll be up till at least Wednesday, 300 chips for the timing people to sort through, read bosh the results in Excel and then post up, that's got to take a while....

So don't worry just yet...

Surely mr andy pandy, if the timing is not important, then why pay £30 to do the 'mash up'? We could of all just gone on another day and done it for free.

f**k that, i wanna know who did best and how much worse we all did.

Plus, where was the mash? i didn't see any anywhere. very disappointing!

true but I was hanging before we even got out of the car park...
I don't think I could take the shame of knowing just how slow I really am...

There were non competitors riding the course too, really that's what I should have done myself, I wasn't too bothered about the times...

I was utterly f**ked by the time I got down from my 2nd loop, I need to start some proper training or something...

There was Mash apparently but it was all gone by the time we got up the top, all that was left was those manky chopped up bars made forn the contents of a dyson, and the big Vat of slightly orange flavoured piss...

that where the £30 entry went then....

i enjoyed it. loads of people who'd you'd expect to see on any DH race event there. people on all shapes and sizes of bikes.
managed 3 runs of black 3 runs of wind point and one of the last darkside section. i was dead after that, but come sunday day i felt fine again wierd!

if there are no results i'll be mighty pi**ed off
