i have a canon s9000 A3 printer that i've had for a while now. results are good once you have it set up (hard work), it costs an arm and a leg to run which means i barely use it. a full set of inks is over £50 if you use genuine canon inks.

in hindsight, i should of saved the money on the printer and spent it on getting stuff printed from places like photobox etc.

Personally I would go with the Canon... Newer Epsons can be very unreliable and it will probably be more expensive to run, I dont know much about the HP but they tend to be pretty reliable, good quality and i think this one would be about the same cost to run as the Canon, The Canon is reliable, good quality build and prints and wont be too expensive to run although it will still be quite a bit. But personally it would be between the Canon and HP and i would go for the Canon.

Cannon is definately good

you have to use the genuine cannon inks, they make it so that copies just trash the printer

They dont trash it, Most of the compatibles of the Cli-8's for the Pro9000 wont work at all because most dont come with a chip. If i were you i would use the Canon inks as you are more likely to get better results.

A full set of inks will be over £50 but that is true for all photo printers with this many inks and these are actually a decent price....

done a few prints now and have to say im really impressed. ive been using permajet oyster paper and its very good. prints are very clear with good tone and colour and the finish of the paper is awesome. ive still yet to change a cart and have done loads of prints, including all my exhibition prints for college. if you have the money and need a3 id go for the hp. id also try some of the permjet papers if you get chance.
