I've just heard the final word from FC regarding the use of Mtn Ash for RD4 this year, It's a NO GO I'm afraid as the postponed felling work (that initially trashed a large section of the track) has just recommenced. So we will have to go somewhere else I'm afraid, Pen-Yr-Heol is not looking likely as half of the track is unavailable to us, (unless we run the top half through steep fields), Abercarn is not likely (I have asked again, no answer yet). No Garway (car parking), no Taff Buggy (not using tractors again), no Wentwood (road not surfaced = transport doesn't work + too many landowners). My initial thoughts are to run Rheola again, but make some changes and tape it differently, might even get it dry!?!?!. Perhaps ressurect Baskerville Hall? Havn't called them yet, but Steve Jones called me from the night club there the other night and suggested it.
