Fort bill tyres
« on: July 02, 2008, 14:29:47 PM »

NPS at the Fort this weekend and it's going to be WET (nothing new) so i'm not sure on tyres?

Really don't want to take spares if i can get away with 1 set and I'm not going to be giving it 100% as i'm still injured but don't want to be all over the place or get stuck.

Thinking 2.5 Swampy front, 2.3 highroller rear for extra clearence? Or would Highrollers work on the front?

Thinking there's no poin in wet screams because the top and bottom they won't grip and highrollers will probably be crap in the middle woods  Undecided

i dont think a hard pack or wet specific tyre is worth it, i recon high rollers are thebest bet, wont be great everywhere but probably the best overall...
im off up there in about a months time, hopefully it will be dry so tire choice is abit more easy!

I don't think I'd ever want to run anything other than 16's/High Rollers up there.

I've ridden it loads of times in the pissing rain and gloop and can't see there being much benefit to anything else.
