Erm, it's a flimsy piece of plastic. It's gonna do jack in terms of protection. It's there for roost, sun glare and aesthetics.

If you were to take imapct on a visor that was quite strong, it would transfer force into your helmet. So even if your helmet looks fine it probably isnt (unless the visor was very lightweight and popped off easy)

Visors snap very easily. I don't think twatting your visor is really going to affect the helmets strength.

companies like661 have the face cover come up real close to mouth - i personally like it - but yes - it does make breathing more difficult - but it has saved my face on a number of occasions!!!      Grin

i could see you're point about needing more oxygen if fort william was nothing but a flat out pedalling all the way course, ok it might make a differance say 5 secs at the most but you'd probably end up spending alot more time picking up the pieces of your chin if you stacked hard enough in the giro. i'd never had a problem with oxygen in my troy lee and have even kept it on to pedal up fireroads between runs. might be time to get yourself a better fitting helmet

tbh, there were WAY too many riders at Moelfre today riding peakless and it's an image i don't like to see for reasons i dont want to start argueing now.  the best was Mark scott and his 'reverse visor'.  Cheesy
