Seems people are eager to get it on, so here are the details!

Sunday 27th July at Stile Cop DH Course on Cannock Chase, near Rugeley.

Building starts at 10am (look for Land Rovers), we'll probably be working near Balboa
Timing starts at 1pm

You NEED to bring at least £2 to put into the donations box (right next to the signup sheets) to help cover our first aid and insurance costs. If we can't cover the costs, we can't continue to run them.

This'll be our seventh official timing day. Last month we had a turnout of forty riders who braved frankly appalling weather to get some times on the scoreboard. Greg H took his first win and Adam H was back on the bike after his break, so it's open season at the bookies for who's going to take July's. Will Millward turn up and school us all again? Can Upton make it two?

As normal the track will be announced on the day to prevent sneaky practice/course altering.

Directions to the track, past results, extra details and so on can be found at www.racersguild.co.uk

We issue start times as you sign up, you have your run, get back to the top of the hill collect another start time from the start time guy and make sure you're on the startline for your run.

Most people get between 3 and 4 timed runs on average. People generally find that's plenty! It's the walking back up the hill that gets you Wink

Certainly looks like it.

Track's looking good for Sunday. I've got a few tweaks and surprises to add and it'll be ready.

Damn you and your suprises Alex.  Damn you!

But hey, I've not sat on the DH bike since March RG meet, so anything will be a suprise!  Though I guess you could be sneaky and add a diversion 5 mins before the start like the Little Bringewood runs!

You know we don't announce that until the morning of the timing day.

alex, it would be so much better if you let out the track being raced afterdark the night before, that way no one can cheat, yet people can chose which bike to use.

for example there are some tracks there i would do better on my hardtail others would be solid on a hardtail

It's all part of the fun.  Take whatever bike you like, as you can spend you're day riding whatever trails you like between your timed runs.  I'm up there on a 9.5in travel beast ffs!

I'll have to check with the powers that be.

If we do have the gates open, you've got to be off the site before 5pm. If you're going to be staying after that, you need to park in the main car park.
