Name changes?
« on: July 17, 2008, 22:03:20 PM »

It seems everyday I come on this forum and il see a post from someone and il think "oh that persons new" when I look at there profile it says they have 100+ posts and a new avatar/message. Im not complaining but surely the whole idea of a board is to know who people are not have them hiding  Roll Eyes. Just makes life a little harder thats all, im not on about a name change from say Paul1989 to Paulie or simple changes its the complete change and trying to hide if this makes any sense. Please let me know if im just moaning and its all in the rules etc I just feel its becoming a growing trend. Completly open to the fact I might have a totally wrong view etc so please correct me if so  Wink.
Cheers

well to the point where id trust some people on this forum but not others. Say when it comes to buying something from classifieds or someones experience with a product.

I know what you mean Maximouse. Display name changes are allowed so that people don't feel the need to start a new account because they are no longer a 'kona_rider', etc (for example). Those that do change their names tend to be those that either want to start afresh or who you don't much care about anyway - those that earn their good reputations tend to not change their names.

Quit moaning!
Who are you to suggest someone should quit anything? Loose the attitude.

yeah im not saying theres anything wrong with that, of the top of my head I can think of one. Charlie on an Orange is now Charlie on a Sunday. Its say changing it completly which you also covered. Im happier, just wanted to make sure the ruling about it etc.
I have to say, this is one of the best forums for approaching the mods regarding opinions/ critisicms etc. So again thank you mods.

I didn't get it fitted to my car, not after watching what it did in that Dr Who episode.

It was a response to the "tell me if i'm moaning" part, its not attitude  Smiley

Hmmm. I suggest then you think how you phrase things in future so they don't read like you have a shity attitude. A quote and/or a smiley would have helped if you were meaning to be amusing and not a tit. Bear in mind that ATM I'm on a banning spree for people that are annoying me with their shity attitudes and annoying ways Wink

I've just changed my name. As I'm now riding a Fusion. To be honest, who cares? If you are that bothered by it don't buy something off of someone who's change their name if it's really THAT confusing, They generally still have the same avatar, sig of caption under their avatar.

Just my thoughts.

tbh 99% of the time you can see who it was when you look at their post anyway, from things like avatar etc.

The only time i ever thing its someone new is when you see them on the main board.
