24"/26" queries (also questions on leafcycles)
« on: July 21, 2008, 22:33:26 PM »

hiya guys.  Sorry if this has already been asked before. i did a brief search and couldnt find what i was looking for.

im looking at the 'leafcycles bike frames and im in the understanding theyre 24" frames.

would a 24" frame still be ok for longish XC and Road use, or is that just a straight of NoNo?
what are the advantages over having a 24" to 26" and vice versa?

thanks for anyone that helps.

Thanks
Sam

24" with a frame designed for them offer more manoueverability and faster acceleration and stronger wheels. BUT poorer tyre choice, less stability, less comfortable for long distance rides.

Hi,
I much prefer 24", theyre strong as f**k, good on road, have better acceleration and pretty much same top speed as 26"

Atomlab Trailpimps are the way to go. I run DMR Moto 'r' s on mine and they work a treat! They'll do on-road and XC nicely Smiley

    Hope this helps,
    Dave! Cheesy
