Where do you live?

You are right, the old track in norwich at costessey got destroyed, but there is a new one in Slough Bottom Park closer to the city centre now.  It's in bad condition at the moment (although stilll rideable) but is due a big makeover in the next 6 weeks!

Also the gate got nicked from the container recently, but I've had word gates should be back on soon, hopefully this wednesday.

Directions can be found here www.norwichbmx.co.uk

Hope that helps!

Yeah I guess your thinking of the right place!

If your at Asda traffic lights on the ring road, near drayton, you turn into drayton high road towards the city and the car park for the park is just down there on your right.  The track is at the far end of the park.  I'v e been told gates are back on as of tonight, every wednesday about 6.30.

Also there is a small play track at pilling park.  It's like a toy version of a bmx track but it can be quite fun.  If your at heartsease Roundabout ont he ringroad, theres 2 exits that go either side of the heartsease pub, the one on the right of it goes to kets hill the one on the left of it goes down to thorpe, take that exit it and on the right is the pilling park car park (signposted I think) track is at the other side of the park.

All bikes welcome, just need to wear a lid.

There was supposed to be a race but it's been cancelled because the track has not been resurfaced yet.... well I say resurfaced, it's quite a state at the moment (long story) but it's getting a new layer of hardcore, new surface and tarmac berms in september -  so there should be a race on late autumn!

Hopefully see ya there sometime!

Oh yeah, it's rideable, just its stoney and rutted on the lips in places, but you can avoid them.  The berms are really bad but yeah they will be better on mtb!  Trouble is with MTB though it's bloody hard work as its flat and the jumps require a fair bit of speed.  Last straights well good fun though, if you click the link in my sig I just posted up a video from the other night.

Yeah I'll try to let ya know about the race, but also keep an eye on the norwichbmx blog as I think that'll be updated nearer the time.

wow, now thats look pretty fast. looks like it offers a nice variation of lines to take over the track though.

aaahhh hard work, im used to hard work now. no pain no gain is the way to look at it =)

could be dragging my mate up there soon hopefully to have a look and a little play i should think. get a feel of a 'real' track instead of any home made ones that myself and my friend are used to...

ahh thanks, that'l be great. and yea will do. been keeping an eye on it....lets hope theres some racing soon now eh =)

thanks
