Have the rules changed regarding the National champs jersey changed then?  Seems the big names (Peat/Atherton's/Moseley) that were all previously boycotting the event were out in force over the weekend?

I don't think the rules have changed - at Pearce rd4 Rachel said that if she happened to win the worlds then she'd be able do the nationals as she'd not have to wear the jersey... Same must apply for Gee... Tracy won it last year anyway and Peaty's been it so many times that I guess they're not so concerned with jersey issues. Maybe... Smiley

Ahhh, I forgot about the Atherton rainbow stripes, good point.  I suppose Tracey doesn't have to tow the full Kona company line anymore and Peaty wants to get a few more pots in the cabinet before he hangs up his D2....

peaty has never seemed to let those sponsorship issues get in the way (that i can remember anyway) but maybe its because he calls the shots with his sponsors, whereas the athertons are on a less flexible deal, maybe.

Its only race runs anyway and i'm sure peat will have most of his sponsors on there anyway, its just not a royal top.
