what he said was if you walked into an engineering joint and said can you make me 10 mech hangers , the cost wouldnt just be in the material but the time taken to design the model and the cutter path and the tool wear .... and that bill i could see being near a grand ! unless you find someone willing to do it as a spare time project ....
dads mate said if they have the same thickness of material needed (obviosly id need to tell them what it is).... if i got another 1 (real 1 thats made by the company) he could cut around it to the same shape and file it down then he would just need to create the hole and tap them
