i had been looking at other nicolai susser frames but as i already own 1 of thier hardtails...... i was looking at going into another .......so far the corsair is winning by a long shot
make the bike unique through paint job, matching coloured parts etc. Buying a rare bike will probably cause you some hassle at some point in the future. That corsair is quite an unusual design and i bet its hard to get hold of new linkage plates etc should you break it.
Getting your own parts machined will cost loads. Most places probably wouldn't even give you a quote for the amount a company like kona would charge for replacement rocker plates.
just done a paintjob uniqueness one.... but yea i do see what you mean..... but at the moment my budget is going to be HIGHLY flexable....... i am still keeping in mind other bikes
i am now going to put a list of bikes in 1st post i am interested in

You listed the Ion as your potential Nicolai frame purchase. Remember though that the Ion is a full out DH bike, and as such the travel is designed to be quite linear. Awesome on DH courses, but quite limiting for other styles. For AM/ freeridey type riding like you listed, either the aforementioned UFO or the Helius ST may be more suitable, as the suspension is designed to be a bit more progressive, and as such would be a bit more suited to general riding.
