Get your money back, don't brother faffing about with damaging the frame as then you have no leg to stand on if you do want the money back.

In theory you can take him to court if he refuses to refund you as it was sold in an unuasable state, and not described as such. Take a trip down to your local Citizens Advice Bearu (sp..) and they'll help you out. I'm sure the threat of a beatdown in court would convince him that giving your moneyback is the right thing to do.
Well apparently according to him, hes spoken to the CAB and they've told him that he is 110% backed up.  I'm going to take a trip down there tomorrow, annoyingly they're open during my working hours and close when I finish Sad

This is not a thread to debate the seller or Cheesegraters honestly/ethics. It is about how to get a stuck seat post out. Lets keep it to that please. Hopefully now the seller is back online he and Cheesegrater can discuss their issues in private.

Thank you Smiley
Al

Good news is it's out, hacksaw approach prevailed.
Bad news is the guy's still a liar.
