pedals, flats
« on: July 22, 2008, 18:13:17 PM »

hi all, I'm looking to get some new pedals as my unsealed bearing ones are becoming a pain, and becoming worn. i was looking to get some flats off crc in sealing bearing model but i don't know whats good in sealed bearing, have about 50 quid to spend on them and I'm going to be using them for downhill if that helps, let me know any ideas.
thanks

DMR V12s are under £50 IIRC.

Easton flatboys are highly recommended. But i think are above your budget.

Alot of people recommend one of the Wellgos, cant remember which, B17 or something.

NS legeaters are good aswell, but again, out of budget i think.

wellgo mg1
 amazing.

The best pedal in the world.

B17's are ok but ive found the platform shape to be cumbersome. Very grippy

dont get DMR's, the platform is too small

i have Easton Flatboys and i would strongly recommend them, im sure you could probably get them for under 50 quid

flatboys, burgs or wellgo b-27 from crc, basically a flatboy copy at 1/2 the price. Amazing!

all terrain cycles sell them for £40, my silver ones have had the ano stripped, they're normally grey.

OR you can buy them brand new from the US on ebay for £35 including postage, they're a bargain!

none on ebay att he mo but the guy from the US puts about 3 sets on a week

search for 'kona wah' every day until they come up

dmr's are really small especially if you have wide feet like myself, decently grippy though.

I've heard really good things about syncros mentals, look really mean and insanely grippy. I've never had them though so don't take my word for it.
