Right, I have a dilemma lol, I go to Scotland day after tomorrow and my front wheel has just died. Now, I went to Leisure Lakes and the only wheels they have that are any good are the 08 mavic deetrax and the 05 mavic deemax (silver ones), I don't have time to get a custom built one or i would consider that. Never been to Scotland and I ain't calling it off cos I can't wait . I've heard some bad reviews about the hubs so was thinking I would get a pro 2 hub on whichever wheel when I get back from Scotland. So basically, which rim is better?? Cheers
surely just buy the cheapest if your replacing it as soon as you get back

Well if you're going to be building the Pro 2 hub onto one of the rims then that rules out the Deemaxs completely as they are 28 hole rims. Pretty sure the Deetrax rim is a glammed up 325 rim so if you were thinking of ditching the hub and building it back up with a Pro 2, then Deetrax it is then.
Having said that, my front Deemax wheel was spot on, it was just the rear I had issues with, like the freehub in particular...
Hope that helps!

I won't be replacing it lol, my other wheel is actually blown up haha. So I want the best rim really! Will probably go for the guy above's advice I think. Cheers
I asked them and they are proper busy, they're nto usually too bad but they said t wouldn't be done until saturday . Roost, was your deemax an 05 one??
Yeh Bob, my Deemaxs were the Silver 05 ones, good set of wheels apart from the rear freehub (but that doesn't apply to you if you're just getting the front!) Also, how much are they wanting for both wheels?
