Where you going in Scotland?  Isn't it an option to phone a bike shop there and pick up a wheel of your choice when you arrive?  Give them a few days like. 

Alpine Bikes in Innerleithen, give them a phone and see what they have in, I'd imagine they would have good stock esp at this time of year.

Bummer.  Not surprised about Alpine not being able to help* but thought the Hub lot would step up to the plate.  Och weeel....

* Dashed into Alpine a few weeks ago after mislaying a seatclamp on way to uplift day at Innerleithen.  Not only did they not have a clamp that would fit me VP Free, they did not have ANY seatclamps available to buy.  Not one single one of any size.  In a bike shop?  Mental.  Shop in Glasgow's alright right enough.
