We can always prune the thread But really, you don't have to read the whole thing. You can click anywhere into it, or just read from the last unread post. Is it that hard? (I ask wanting to know, not trying to be sarcastic). Well...not really if you are just looking at the thread generally.... but the thread has shown there is a lot of interest between the users on here in each others cars. Reason I asked is that I know there was a few Clio enthusiasts on here....but I can't remember who. I wanted to have a chat with them about bike racks etc / detacheable tow bars for my new toy and see the other peoples clio sports etc... ... to trawel through that entire thread would take forever, and the search engine will only point me to the one thread. So thought it might make a nice addition to that side of things for people on here now that thread has got silly big. Another thing with that thread is it is being updated pretty frequently and so to post a comment about someone elses vehicle or to reply to a reply can end up two pages after they posted the pictures etc originally which ends up a bit of a jumbled mess to read. Totally understand if you think it is taking the non biking aspect of this forum too far but I personally think it would be a great addition. Paul

Hang on...what point are you really making that i havn't already made myself and explained why i've made the request/suggestion... I qoute you just making a point that its a bike forum.... surley if your that into cars a car forum would be better! you have a whole section for cars which can be posted on as may times are people like.................. but hey thats down to the mod's! My sarcasm is justified.... its a bike forum and I qoute myself prior to your response I know it's a bike forum but evidently we all seem to like that thread due to it's 260 odd pages so thought my idea might be a welcome addition to that garage section?
I know there are specific car forums ... I use a few myself....however it's nice to be able to discuss cars amongst other MTB'ers as you get a different angle on things as most people have the same ideas about space constraints for transporting bikes etc.
That singular thread is getting a little crowded to say the least.
Paul
There is already a section about cars making that part of the forum not soley a biking forum....I'm suggesting a way of improving it /cleaning it up a bit / making it more user freindly for the people who are evidently using it frequently. Paul

Paul, I know where you are coming from, but this is a DH cycling forum and we have enough fun running it as that without diversifying to much. If I were you I'd not trawl the pics thread for Clio users, but start a thread for the Clio users, named obviously, to find and post in. The pics thread is not that fast growing, certainly nothing like Spangly, and does only appeal to a sub-set of users. That said, if things evolve we'll evolve, so whilst I don't believe its needed now, I'm not saying never. Its great to be able to talk to people who you share two passions with, which is why the garage is there, and I certainly don't want anyone to feel discouraged to post there. If there are things we can do (maybe spliting the pics thread by year/month?) then we'd be happy to look into it. Cheers, Al
