FAIL ....

which shops did you go to go big or go home ....

the shops on the site are crap at the actual bottom of the course , but both nevis cycles and off beat bikes are good shops with good stock and i dont believe your claims in the slightest if you went to both these shops ....

We used to have a local bmx shop that we were all so pally with, id stroll down on a saturday and jus hang out and help feind off chavs. They also specialised in kinky ss/fixed cyclo x parts etc. Trail Rat, you'd have loved it.

So yes the shop had loverly kit, but nobody had the money with halfords 5miles down the road.

It's just going to get harder and harder to keep shops open and to remain loyal. I tried to as much as poss but sometimes its just rediculous as previously described e.g. they'd be all thomson'd  and king products in the cabinets (@ full rrp) but if i crc'd or better..ebayed in the states..its a no-brainer

Bike shops vary depending on what kind of custom they get alot of, my lbs stocks just about everything i need, or orders it up so its there when i need it. Which, unless i need it in a hurry i'll happily wait for. I'd rather spend my money in a local shop and sometimes, maybe pay a little more or the same price than to crc.

Beats crc on price, and is pretty flexible about payments and what not if i cant afford it at the time. Used it since it opened 10 years ago.

Never had any complaints about anything else, always sorted my bike out if somethings wrong with it, never once refused me advice if i needed it, or even loaned me tools to do a job my self, which for a bike shop i can fault at all really!

Not only that, but the guy who owns it, stocks alot of bmx stock, and knows what he's talking about when people have problems etc. Which i dont think alot of bike shops have, knowledge of a wide range of the products right the way from bmx all the way through different ranges of mtb's.
