Gearboxes....we've got all the same concepts and products on the market s we had 2 years ago.  Hammerschmidt isn't a gear box. Have you seen the pics?  We've got Nexus, which is s**t off road, we've got Rolhoff which is expensive and we've got G-Boxx which has been around for years and has never taken off.

Hill's massive now, but he's been at the top for years.  He;s been winning medals since 2004.  It's only recently that Dirt magazine and the other media have turned the DH community into a herd of sheep,  But he's been one of the best in the sport for YEARS.

i do agree with a fair bit of what you say (which is most things, seeming as you have something to say about everything) but your opinion isnt fact and sometimes you just need to learn to shut the hell up and stop correcting people in such a blunt way.

My problem is that I do enjoy a good discussion and a good debate.

Unfortunately very few of you lot actually seem to enjoy the same.  If you're going to insist that I'm over opinionated, show me the proof behind what I've been arguing against.

Go on.  Show me how Peaty's slipped, how gear boxes have improved, how Hill's only just burst on to the scene......

If you can prove each of those.  Then I'm wrong.

P.S.  Bobbo, that wasn't criticising his opinion in the slightest, just saying he was talking shite.  This is a kid who knows the DJ scene and regularly talks rubbish about aspects of the sport he openly admits to not having a clue about.

He wasnt saying that hill has just burst onto the scene, he was saying that he is now massive, which he wasnt 2 years ago, would monster energy have been as big 2 years ago? I appreciate that he was racing well over 2 years ago and getting good results, but its still undeniable that he is way bigger than has ever been

I can appreciate what your saying about gearboxes after looking into the hammerschmidt properly, however there is still the millyard bike which granted, isnt availible, but its still a step forward for gearboxes

I think the whole Peaty thing is because he hasnt won a round of the WC since mid 2006.  Which is a a bit disapointing when we won at least one round each season from 1998 - 2006. 

So although he's as consistent (if not more so - I think he's been on the podium at nearly all WC in 2007 and so far in 2008) as he was, he's not picking up WC victories as regularty as he was.  FACT.  You could call that slipping...

Sam Hill is even bigger news than he was - he's won the Senior World champs twice (06 and 07).

Gee has become Britain's first senior male world champ.
