NPS at Moelfre
« on: August 11, 2008, 09:32:29 AM »

just like to say that it was a very nice event, unfortuately i wasn't riding, and came along just on the sunday and (i was at bala national champs but) this was my first NPs and there was a great atmosphere.

just a few complaints  Wink:

one small thing, there was no time board at the finish so the spectators/riders couldn't see the times posted. (to be fair, Si made it work very wel)l but still i think it works better seeing the time straight away.

and more importantly, there was absolutely no parking control.
we managed to get into the field at the gap at the bottom and some idiots just blocked the gap 'we were worried we may get stuck' they said, so the blocked everyone in (they eventually moved though). it just seemed that there was huge field space but everyone was parked along the road so none of the field space was being used.

again nothing major but a little hard for people just coming on the sunday.

overall great event though

People who are only staying for 1 day or who want to leave at night need to be parked in a different field to the campers because they ruined the field for us. The 'monster' truck driving round and and round all day for no reason didn't help either.

Also, when your wheels start to spin, applying more throttle will not help you to achieve grip

natinal champs..well what a crap track!! jesus!! i thought being a national it would be the hardest track that id race on all year.. the course consisted off one f-ing line the whole way down.. some ski jumps.. and a sh$t load of pedaling!!

wtf!! nationals need to get better this was a joke! had i not done myself in with huckers nodd and pushed my vertebrees out i damm sure i could have won, i cranked three pedals off the start and that was that just let it roll and atyed smooth.. felt so solw in the feild as i had no gears.. well turned out i did id just been pressing the flange on my grip!!! no flanges anymore i tell ya!

so with some pedaling and a working body i could have ridden a lot better but still had a respectable time 2.32 on a hardtail!

come on is this as good as it gets!!??? i hear good things about all these tracks.. get there and wish i didnt drive the 5hour one way trp there to ride a pile of w*nk!

if you like ill build a proper course and only desent riders will be able to get down it.. no chicken lines as this is the nationals!!!

ahaha, what are you slagging off, not sure i can understand. you not happy with the nationals or the national champs!!
Fairplay on that hard tail you rip, but come on, moelfre beats the sh!t out of the scottish rounds. Yeah we need harder tracks, though i have a feeling you might take you comments back when they go to llangollen and the hardtail aint hooking up!

It's a shame the track at Ae hasn't changed much in 10 years, but I really enjoy it nonetheless.  And the NPS track at Inners was great I thought.  Never been to FB so can't comment.  As you say, different people like different things.
