...Could very much go the way of gymnastics or them flippy spinny skiers off the steep ramps.  One hit wonders.  Mental technical vaults off the box, only truly appreciated in slow motion.  Has its attractions but there's something to be said for a long drifted simple air.

Reminds me of Tony Hawk against Chris Miller in boarding.  Hawk did the technical progression (hugely) but Miller's backside lipslides were and are an aesthetic beauty.

Quad whips look s**t to me.
