There are limits to what the UK has to offer though....... the welsh certainly seem to be more accepting of us riders coming on their land.  The Scottish are also pretty good at this but get in England and you're seriously restricted........ unfortunately!

But people cant whinge about the track being too easy at moelfre as the week before people were moving posts as hopton to make the track straighter and easier... who could that be...

Didn't that wind me up! (different topic though)

Moelfre is a Good Track, but Can see your points, but in all honesty, Moelfre isnt a thorn in the side of the nps its a Difference that maybe some people can't Ride...

Downhill is Different, Lets face it, its nice to Ride something half way through season..

Johny H - We looked at the otherside (03 track) and looked really hard, but it has no finish arena, so no atmosphere or anywhere to display sponsor banners etc... also that ride back to the uplift would have been just like Inners :'(

ill still enetr it.. it is funn to ride.

i think most of you guys.girls are missing the ppoint im trying to make that i dont find the track challeging enough.

this does not make it bad, i woyld like to see it a bit more technical in the middle switch back section. It still made for an enjoyable ride though and was a good atmosphere and the organisers done a great job with what was there and the weather conditions not helping.. all in all a good weekend.

but buy the sounds of things if there is one race in the nps calander i could drop it sounds like it will be this one.

Mention of the 03 track.... is this still there???

Does that mean  the track that is being used was not built by the athertons.. i allways thought  it was......

On another point if all the tracks were mega tech then there would be no variety... so people suited to tech stuff would hav a great advantage...

moelfre is amazing, its so different to any of the other tracks, it may not be technicle but it really was never meant to be, thats why we have stuff like inners and the other tracks, personally i think its part of the reason the nps is so good because of the variations in tracks! no-one wants to just ride the same thing day in day out. (an if you do your a boring fart!) and in my personal opinion, if you dont like moelfre then you just plain aint pushin it hard enough and going fast enough for the ability within you!

I think suggesting that the races are just for the racers is not quite true im not ure the racers put up the prize money etc. The races need sponsors in order to cut prices down for those racing them and to attract sponsors yes they need high entry numbers but also a high level of spectators as well as a good trade arena for the elite riders etc as this again will help attract sponsors.
You seem to understand that some people are there to make up the numbers, they dont race to win as it would not be possible for them to win so they race to have fun knowing that they will not be getting a podium even though it is supposedly the top flight of our sport there are still going to be people there that will never get on the podium. So why do these people do it? these people are what helps keep the series afloat as without them there would just be perhaps ten or fifteen riders in each category?
I can understand suggesting the course isn't hard enough but by the sounds of it it is just a different type of downhill (i've never been to molefre). But as has been mentioned you are racing the other racers not the course. It would soon get boring if all the courses were just one massive pile of rocks all the way down Variety is the spice of life and all that jazz Tongue

i think you need to mix up the style of tracks, and i think a really steep, tech, rough track is missing. a track that would breath fear into the racers when it comes around in the race season ! however llangollen sounds as though it will fit the bill so lets wait and find out next year !  Wink

I don't think the tracks are long enough for the NPS but lets wait and see what Clive does with the new track and how it finishes then we'll know.

He certainly has the ability to make the most of the hill he has so could be an option.
