DIRT MAG - Cover Competition
« on: August 18, 2008, 12:55:21 PM »

Just saw Dirtmag are running a competition to design a new cover for an issue of dirt.
If you win, gets published etc.
I know theres a fair few arty guys on here so thought id make you aware if youve got enough spare time to give it a go.
Heres my first attempt :

Youve put "Whistler- Ninja Cougar" twice by the way... but it looks really good other than that.

Is the 2012 meant to have the forward slash and question mark after it?

But I like the air miles idea and design. Veryyy impressive!

Yeh yeh, deliberate. Dont quite know why. I always do it and after looking through a few of my old dirt mags for ideas so do they haha.
I always use weird punctuation (in an attempt for it to look good ? i dont really know  Undecided)
Im still working on it so thats not a final design, bit stuck for ideas atm.
Also didnt know what titles to use ? they dont give you any. So just made up aload of storys ?

DMR transition ... rides sweet for my size and works really well for me, paint is f***ed but rides nicely!

DMR's are still rubbish though! Roll Eyes

I would have thought the content needs more addressing than the chuffin' front cover.  Used to love that mag, its been shite for years now though.

It's old, but it's still going...we haven't forgotten. We will be picking a winner at some point!
