Agreed, its something like a 03 Z1 QR20 (but I think the crown is wrong) or a 04 Z1 wedge (which im pretty sure did have that crown). They aint dirt jumpers. The 2002 ones had the older flat style crown and after that they went to the beefy M-crown which is pretty much the same as they are now.
Think he was referring to them being the DJ's of their day
I'm diggin the Kujo tyre myself. Always thought they looked awesome. Where they good DH performers? I was a trials rider at that time and ran them on the back where they were fantastic.
on the old mbuk forum, you were banned if you were wrong on in the tech section. Ie saying something that wasnt true but stating as a fact. I thought that was a very good rule TBH.
Thanks for all the answers guys and some good points raised. Just before I advertise the bike I want the spec right so I'd just like to narrow it down a bit more.
At least we know they are definitely Dirt Jumpers, now I know they were originally Shauns so I will pester him for information!
dirt jumpers. end off. i picked the decals off. ask Shaun [deadsailer], they were his originally, he will confirm.
Really? The earliest DJs I can find are 2003 on Marzocchi archives which have the smoothly blended legs. These lowers are more like the 2001-> Z1/Z3 lowers with a 2003 crown? Plus DJs had the QR20 clamps on the bottom of the lowers under the axle.
Just curious as these look more like the v early QR20s, before the DJs emerged?. Were they OEM or something?
personal recommendation is they are early MX pro's, with different legs. Holes in the top of the crown right? Lockout on left leg and around 80mm of travel. Email the pic to Windwave and see what they say...

'If it jams, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.'
I always though that the brake bosses were needed for structural integrity on those forks...
