DT 2350 wheels price hike from last year
« on: September 01, 2008, 09:48:22 AM »

Does anyone know if these wheel have changed at all? Reason i ask is that i brought a set end of last year, brand new for £450 but the rear lasted about half an hour before the rim was destroyed (DT replaced for free).

This year however the wheels are on CRC for £637.99. I was wondering if they were different, ie stronger to justify the £190 increase in price?

To be honest I would not pay 640quid for them either.
If you want the quality of dt440 hubs get the hubs, quality rims. spokes you want and a quality wheel builder. All these together will get you much better wheels.
I do like DT Swiss hubs but for 640quid they are having a laugh here  Grin

my mate has them on his sunday, they are very nice but yeah the rims are made of very expensive and white (mouldy?) swiss cheese. Very nice but like deemax, not realy the best cost option.

Unfortunately as with everything in life, there's nothing different, it's just as the Swiss Franc is stronger than the Pound making all DT Swiss products more expensive to import.
