A bit more on topic to my earlier post, i think that the bikes renders are pretty good if you compare the quality of last years they have a much better representation but it is only a representation of there bikes.

The ones that are pictured look much better than there rendered from so i would expect the same for the DHR

For people who are already criticising the render. They have a far more in depth model to work out the exact the linkage, how it works and reacts, plus to model the dw link is slightly more complicated than the a single pivot because tolerances of mm's make bigger differences to  the calculations created thus i think it is hard to comment on what the render results produce.

If i hadn't already ordered my 09 Trek i think that i would have probably waited to see how the DHR rides with the DW-Link. Either way im sure that Turner will have  an amazing bike  Smiley

i like the new range, dw link in my opinion does make a difference to the overall feel of the bike, a breeze to pedal.

Huh? Have you tried them yet then?

I think she just means in general about the DW-Link rather than riding a new Turner Wink

there is stock of '08 turners left ive just ordered a DHR in candy blue medium from go-ride and it should be here around the 20th. Looks wise i couldnt give a toss but am going to be a bit jealous of the DW link for the pedalling end of things along with the weight for that reason. However i only paid £1200 with delivery, in my view, a f***ing bargain. Im guessing the new one A) isnt going to be around for a while and B) is going to be closer to the £2k mark which is way out of my price range. The fact that its a pound lighter also worries me a bit for a couple of reasons. All bike thieves should die a slow agonizing death preferrably with hot pokers and paper cuts involved.

The DW-link version wont be out 'til March 2009. I suspect it may have teething problems too Wink Good call buying an '08 I reckon.

Given you're already several hundred pounds cheaper buying them from Go-Ride even after tax and shipping I think it may be more than that!

Shipping will be whatever Go-Ride or whoever determines. Import tax for a frame will be 4.7% on top of the frame price AND shipping costs. VAT is also payable at 17.5% on top of that total. Plus, if you don't go the legitimate route and Parcelforce etc. hold it until the customs charge get paid, expect a handling fee too. Pound to Dollar has dropped a fair bit in the last couple of months too, so the exchange rate won't be 2/1 anymore.

yea exchange rate is still pretty good though. A sunday frame is $1899, and at current exchange rate thats £1,073.91 even with shipping tax and possibly handling fees its going to be cheaper than buying a sunday frame over here (unless it was 2nd hand)

and when your US bought frame cracks or needs some kind of warranty claim, the UK importer has no obligation to offer any assistance

I would buy a pair of pedals from the US, but never a frame or fork that will probably (knowing the nature of biking) need a warranty at some point....

As it happens the UK importer for Turner are useless and you just ring Greg at Turner USA anyway. the warranty even extends to 2nd hand frames.

Orge.

From the reputation they seem to have I'm surprised Turner still deal with them...

its a company called roundel i tried dealing with them and they were f***ing useless, said they couldnt get me a dhr in anything except grey and ive have to wait months and pay over the odds. Also the site had a mobile number which 9 times out of 10 was switched off and another landline number which just rang off most of the time. So i rang  turner who passed me on to go-ride who are cheap and a dream to deal with 10 day shipping was $200 and speedier DHL was $400.
