don't mean to sound funny, but if you're asking the question, take it to a shop, it's harder than it seems to retrue a wheel!

i tend to leave the wheel in the frame/forks then spin it. when i find the buckle i check spoke tensions, and tighten up. works a treat for me.

Its quite simple.

You need to find where the buckle is in the rim. using a pen or whatever.

then count the spokes from one of of the buckle to the other and tighten the spokes on the opposite side of buckle 1/4 of a turn each. Make sure you do it that much as it needs to be done in even increments or you rim will bobble up and down.

You have to keep doing this all the way round, it often takes quite a few goes until it is all true.

But like i said above make sure you do each spoke 1/4 of a turn or you will end up with spokes that have uneven tightness.

cheers

i agree it is quite hard tryed to true mine the other week took about half a hour / 45 mins and got it about 1mm or 2 mm better  (didnt help having a nipple key that was tootaly f**ked) but yeah if you want it doing good take it to a lbs and if you get friendly they may do it for free  Grin( or i did as i am mates with them Roll Eyes)

also once you have done that you need to check to make shure its not moved into a oval shape and you do that in the same way just put pen so its over the top of the rim and tighten/loosen the nipples 1/4 of a turn to get it circular then grab pairs of spokes and pull them this makes the spokes untwist wich can make the rim less tentioned and can make it weeker and you dont want them to untwist when riding.

I was skint when I started trueing wheels so couldn't afford to pay anyone else to do it, so learned how to do it myself. Without meaning to brag I can now quite easily build and true wheels. So when you get told by other people to get somone else to do it, if you're keen to learn then forget that and learn to do it yourself.

Alternatively, take it to your shop and ask them if you can help do it or just watch so you can learn at the same time.

Just remember that everyone has to start somewhere...

The links posted before are good. Read through them, understand them, and remember to take your time and use a good quality spoke key!

Good luck.
