race on the 4th and 5th?? just rumours??
« on: September 12, 2008, 12:38:43 PM »

I know you boys have had a tough time recently with the timing equipment being nicked, but heard a 'rumour' that you may do a 'double header' race on the sat and sun the 4th/5th instead of just the sun. Obviously, assuming you are able to hire some timing equipment.

Any truth in this? or is it just all a load of ballbags? Smiley

No ballbags - it's the truth!!   Grin

As we missed the last round due to selfish stealing pyke scum we'll be holding both rounds 5 & 6 on the same weekend of 4/5th October as you mentioned. It would be nice to have both rounds/days on differant tracks but we'll see how we get on for set up time and track prep - the biggest problem is moving the timing cable.

Keep watching this space!!  Wink

we will make sure that there are 2 quite different tracks with the same start and finish - this will most likely be around the HSE side of the hill ( possibly rumbles revenge if its dry)

That would be awesome BUT please make it slightly possible to ride first? It would be fine with a few ruts but at the mo there's just nothing to hold the tires when it's wet! Haha took me ages to get down that on my arse the other day!

Looking forward to it though! Smiley

if its dry on the saturdayplease please please do rumbles revenge...that is the best track i have ridden at the park... and it would change the usuall podium people around aswell!
is it also true about the overall being combined ie. juvenille, youth and juniors all together?

I cant see the podium places being changed at all !
the people who win on the other tracks will win on rumbles- its cos they are better riders Roll Eyes

still not sure what to do about the overall as we need to confirm with Royal what prizes are available - we want it to go to someone who is younger with less money as the seniors who win are either sponsored or have jobs. we want to reward some younger riders without sponsorship

You mean seniors who have jobs, mortgages, bills and kid with expensive hobbies? You can't win so give it up to the fastest man down the hill. It's not like the fast guys are Factory!

not saying the fastest guys are factory but some of them do get free or reduced price kit
Most people seemed to agree that they would rather see an overall prize for a younger rider who wont just ebay off the prize as they are not able to use it
anyway we havent got the prizes yet ... so it might be a bit premature to be arguing about it !
