Hopton Woods
« on: September 13, 2008, 17:45:17 PM »

Managed to get down to Hopton today with a few mates.
For all of you that are racing there in a couple of weeks, the track is looking good! There has been a few changes here and there but other wise it's the one that was raced last season, with the quarry drop.

I had not really tried panning shots before, so I thought I would give it a shot today and I'm pretty happy with 'em.

No unfortunately. Really gutted because I would have loved to gone and take photos for the weekend.

Got a college party on the Friday night, then a free house on the Saturday night  Wink, so I don't think I'm going to feel up to much come race day!

Try and get all of the rider in the shot.

i think theyre fine how they are.
theyre good angles.

although im some ways getting all the rider in the shot would be nice.
its good to have something leading towards the rider. having the trail leading following the rider or vice a versa.....

but its good to see some super close ups.
and props for holding your nerves as he does look rather close Wink

I did try to get as much of 'em in the shot as possible, but there was a bank behind me (you can kind of see it in the last two), which made it a bit tricky.

Matt Simmonds hit a photographer at Schladming. He has to be airlifted away!  Undecided
I think there is photo's of the incident somewhere, but I'll find out tomorrow, I was informed by a friend.
