My socom is nicely build... I think;

Titanium spring on the way.. 1.5" Totem is a lovely fork if you service them once upon a time Wink
Don't need DH forks like boxxer/travis/40's/... This thing does the job and I can do my X-Up and whips like my Hardtail!

Nice allround tyres... Not the type you need when you are racing or when it's wet though..

Overall a good summer bikepark tyre..

My socoms started to feel the strain after 5months of riding. It creaks like hell and has some nice large dents. Broke a set of boxxers as well while running it. Its beena good bike. In my oppinion it needs a lower bb and steeper headangle. But it is awesome i cant flaw the way it works. I do notice some flex in the rear end but not enough to worry me to much.

Mines 35lbs with a strong yet light build (its lasted a seasson + in canada) well the forks, mech and rear wheel havnt lol

I'd say, Industry Nine DH wheels if your going all out Pimp, maybe wait for the new Dorado Air 09, sweet!

Awsome, a steeper head angle, don't you mean slacker?

I'll 3rd the rear end flex. Admittedly I hadn't noticed it a huge amount over here, but out in the Alps this summer it was a lot more apparent.

It would be interesting to ride it against the new Trek, as they are very similar frame weights. I wonder if the Session is as flexy? There is only so much material you can use when making a frame that weighs 9lbs with shock...

having read a very detailed review on the session on descent world, i don't think the rear end flexes at all and feels very sturdy.

If you really want to pimp it out you should look at those new red firefulcrum wheels that are meant to be FR use.

I think there retailing around the £550 mark  Wink

Look super swish though, that with a white frame and fox 40 forks would  look pretty pimp. Finishing it off with other red kit such as bar ends and seat clamp etc....
