in wendover,a 20 minute ride away can get to it from marylebone or aylesbury.

it's also basically all uphill (steep) on the way, but that does mean that when you're tied at the end of the day, its easy enough to get back to as it's all downhill.

I've never heard of such thing, plus if there was an incident there are plenty of cameras around.
