Sharp photos?
« on: September 22, 2008, 16:57:04 PM »

I just got myself a Nikon D60 after a few years using a Fuji S20, after seeing so many awesome photos taken using DSLRs, but I still can't seem to get really sharp, crisp looking photos with my new camera. I've seen some really nice ones on the gallery here, but I swear none of my photos are as clean/sharp looking as them. Any ideas as to where I'm going wrong? I'm using it on a low ISO setting (100-200) and on 'fine' picture mode.

using an iso thats too low could be as bad as using one thats too high. have a play around with higher iso's and see where you get. hope this helps!

use a shutter speed above 1/500th and pan with your subject. use appetures that arnt wide open , use a nice low ISO , and have good light ( direct sun light , flash etc )

Keep the ISO low for clean sharp pictures. going high will not help what he wants.

Post up some pictures and show us what you get when you start playing around
