Gee Atherton: gets the award for bad luck, 5 minutes before runs were supposed to start the World champ went down on the slowest part of his line. He separated his shoulder. Dan Atherton was already sitting out. So both Athertons did not start in the finals.

That is just insane that pic, the thought of even attempting to hit that is bad enough, let alone to attempt a super can off it!! What an amazing event though, let's just hope it happens again next year!

you know it's only just occurred to me that this thread is titled rampage 2009

Oh well. The vid on freecaster shows the gap being cased, but only just. surprisingly it didn't look as bike breaking as you'd expect.
