I need to get some new pedals for my full sus cos the bearings in mine are fubard. I was looking at those Superstar CNC Nano Tech Flats (the ones without themag axels) but i can't really find that many reviews on them, I've heard they're quite good but i kno someone who has them thats smashed a few pns out. Any info on them or any other pedals you think i could get for that sort of price please let me know.

Thanks.

They're absolutely f'ing awesome. Rebranded kona wah wah's (RRP at £56 I think). Best flats I've ever used, top notch for the price.

Indeedyweedywoo!

Im gunna get some for my street bike, i love 'em.

Superstar sell some of the branded pedals above under a different name for half the price. Check them out- The only difference is the name on the pedal, they're even made in the same factory.

Easton Flatboys = INDestructable and Good Grip

50/50's = Hashed bearings after 6 months.

I was caught out by the " look good" part of the 50/50's.. they worked well until 4 months in when the plate bolts went and the plate fell off.. and now the axels are wrecked...

Where as Easton's are going well. even after being slammed into a rock at Flat out sspeed:P

you should consider looking for a pair of burgtec pentohouse flats.

I know the price seems rediculous but if you look hard enough you'll find a decent second hand pair. Plus once u have them, then u effectivly have a pair for life. Burgtec seem more than happy to service them for free, as long as you send them down to them.

I managed to destroy the axels on mine and they just said to send them down, week later and i had fully refurbished pedals, didnt ask for a recipt or anything as there garenteed for life

I also think flatboys.

They'll last as long as the bike, and are very strong, and stupidly grippy.

Got a set on both bikes, and i use Vans with soft waffle grip, and it's like being clipped in.

Pedals are something that need to be right. And £55 for something that has to be some of the strongest parts of the bike is not expensive at all.

The pedals don't forget are sometimes the difference between making the jump/sharp turn/ fast section, and not.

Wellgo B-54 get my vote.  Perfect sealing, big and grippy.   I have three sets and only worn out one bearing after a season in the alps on 2yr old pedals.  One set even survived a rear end shunt and direct impact on a bike rack that wrote off a car and a van!  Strong enough!
