I really like all of them mate. On the one of the sign though, it's hard to read what it all says. Very fond of the 6th. The noisy-ness of it makes it seem very cold and moody. The graffiti on the 7th stands out so much too, it's a great 'modern' contrast to the architecture behind it. Ben Thanks Ben. Yeah the sign wasnt meant to be readable tbh, I took it as a photo I'm going to paint form a very tight crop, a long story but I have done a series of paintings of close up text so it wasnt reallt intended to be fully visible. I agree with you on the other 2 points, its a very famous gallery in Paris and I loved the shockingness of the writing, and yeah it certainly was cold and moody in those waves in february! Cheers James

just out of interest how did you get the one of the waves? did it involve getting cold and wet or not? and really good pics mate. really like the one of the graffiti. and the mona lisa one. its diffrent and therefore cool.
The wave one I was out in the water with a shitty underwater camera! Seriously cold ina storm in february. Yeah I was stood in this gallery with all this incredible art around me but there is the mona lisa, with a big piece of glass over it, a huge barrier, loads of security everywhere, about 200 chinese tourists with there latest digital cameras, and all this other art being neglected. I was trying to mock the french idea that cameras should be allowed in galleries, this is what happens. I wanted to stand in front of the mona lisa and take a picture from the paintings point of view, but security had a fit when I suggested it! second one gave me fecking goose bumps.....took a quick glance at it after reading shots ive taken and i thought it was a really old photo of a prisoner of war camp, well that sorta thing. Its a model of Auchwitz by Gerry Judah in the imperial war museum. I had studied him as an artist previously and did some similar stuff, its grim but I like it. And indeed lol and the franglais!
