ti spring
« on: October 07, 2008, 15:45:54 PM »

my orange came with a steel 350x 3.25 spring, i have been lookin for a while for a second hand TI spring on ebay etc and havnt seen any in that size.

however i have seen a few 3" stroke springs around.  would these fit or would i have to be lookin for a 3.25?

its for a DHX 5

thanks

ye, i imagen you have a fox shock and spring, fox also 'upsize' their spring to stop coil bound, so on a 2.25" strok shock they'll put a 2.37" spring, on a 3" stroke shock they'll put a 3.25" spring. No other companys do this, and it just makes it confusing.

thanks for that.

im lookin at a nuke proof spring, iv heard there not as accurate to the weight noted on the spring as fox coils are thou.

also do they work ok on dhx5, im sure i heard they have a slightly wider internal diameter than other springs

I've got a Nuke Proof Ti on my dhx5, and its fine.
And i changed from 450lbs to 450lbs, and theres no noticable difference at all.
The length of the ti (3") rather than the 3.25 steel, is around 5mm, so its nothing really!
