They will retail around the £350 mark if i remember rightly at the bikeshow yesterday.

They are 140-180.
Its Alloy stanchion tube and they doing them in both 1.5" and 1 1/8th to suit as needed.
The steerer tube is alloy on the 1.5" and its Cro-mo for the 1 1/8th.
The hardware at the bottom of the forks and the writting is all black as well not colour.
Its 2500g for the 1.5" with 200mm long steerer and 2300g for the 1 1.8th steerer.
Also the crown race diameter is 40mm on the 1.5" and 30mm on the 1 1/8"

Thats about all i know about them

P.S they are allso doing a 120-160mm travel adjuster version

If their less than £350 tell us you Muppet Wink, i was just going from the cycle show on Sat.

I just remember a 3 at the start. Wasn't paying that much attention to be honest.

The rest of the details i gave was from there new catalogue. The only difference on that fork is the graphics and the hardwere colour from what i have seen in the catalogue and at the show.

Let's hope they work as well as they look! Have you any ideas if they will be producing a proper DH fork?

There has been nothing suggested that there will be anything for 09 but i guess it depends on how people react to there new line up this year first. If its good and the basis of there Fr fork is a decent platform i don't see why not.

hmmm but do u really want the name "SR SUNTOUR" on the side of the fork  Undecided

I really don't see why people like you are in this sport.

No idea about anything......

Suntour have long been the manufacturers for the Big M and have been making pretty decent forks for a while, admittedly nothing spectacular under their own sale branding, but then again they don't offer a DH fork for £1199.99....you get what you pay for!

sep_rider

for a start, would YOU buy them?

i didnt say anything about other forks they have made, for all i know they COULD be good, but i just said " would you honestly want SUNTOUR written on the side of your fork." and another thing, was i even talking to you in the first place? Wink

Suntour have been making all the OEM forks for marzocchi for a number of years now.
same with Spinner forks,  just like zocchi they make OEM for Rock Shox.

now they are not tied to the brand anymore. [zocchi bought by tenco - RS bought by sram] they are now concentrating on there own branding, now that they dont have as much outsourcing.

i have a few high end spinner forks i imported, got a set on mine and the wifes xc bikes.. and they are brilliant.

dont knock it till you tried it.... mainstream doesn't mean its gospol.
