Except for the Rocket and Attack (I think), which are designed for SRAM mechs.

X.9 wont work.

Pretty sure that's the wrong way around, the rocket and attack are SRAM shifters which work on a 1:2 cable pull ratio, i.e. shimano mechs. Though the idea of shimano making something compatable with someone else's kit is funny!

Some pretty confused replies there...

All Shimano mountain bike shifters work with all Shimano rear mechs (but not 100% sure on tens speed road mechs being suitable for MTB use!)

Current SRAM shifters;

X7/X9/X0 right hand = SRAM only rear mech
Rocket and Attack right hand = Shimano rear mech

All left hand SRAM shifters work with either Shiamno or SRAM front mechs.

Yes all Shimano mechs use the same actuation ratio so you could use XTR shifters with Acera shifters or vice versa althought that would be sacrilige! Just watch what cage length you get with the new Saint RR mechs as the short cage one has a limited range of Cassette teeth/multiple front chainring compatabilities

Hey all,

I thought I'd ask on this thread rather than open another.

I have an 11 - 32 cassette and xt cranks with a 22 and 32 rings (bash buard, no big ring) would the longer of the two new saint rear mechs work with the above?

Thank you in advance!

To the guy above.

Yes the longer cage Saint would work with your setup.
