Possible the worst days cycling yet....
« on: October 13, 2008, 16:10:59 PM »

Just been out to the local trails and so far the damage is a friend with a severaly broken collar bone... whole back end of my bike destroyed which is going to ammount to around £400 too fix couldnt get 2 the hospital 4 my mate who was in absolute agony. I have a broken toe from where i came off. A Cannondale Chase 2 with forks that have bottomed out and almost gone through the bottom of the fork.

how does that compare to your worst days ?

One of the boys(Tom) hit a tree after overshooting a step down and ripped five nerves out of his spine which paralysed his left arm forever.

Does that guy still ride? Because I remember seeing a video of something like that a while back, and then hearing he still rides with only one arm.

What are you on about? I was thinking of crashes that ruin the days ride.... We were in the middle of Chessie and couldn't get home........

As for not that bad, it had him sitting out for way longer than you, I'd say more painful that your smash Alex.

so you'd say scrappin your arse is worse than smashin your head on something with all your body weight on it? hmmmmmm..... then I was dazed for a little while then had a headache for virtually the rest of the day.How the hell can you think it was more painful?

Shock is different to pain. You were shocked, and in pain, but Emlyn was in more pain because he wasn't in shock... And I didn't say it was worse!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, does it really matter ffs?Huh
