9mm thru axle on Pro2 (not QR)
« on: October 15, 2008, 19:40:27 PM »

You know the DT 9mm thru axles?!

Stuck one in a pro 2 having machined up some new adapters....

Much stiffer than standard QR!!

Anyone else tried it yet?!

Did it to a bulb 'cos hope dont make bolt-on axles for them. Why not use the hope bolt up conversion, just for banter, or am I missing something?

i take it you are talking about the RWS thru axle? if so, ive got one on my demo. absolutely loving it. so much stiffer than a qr and still just as easy to take out. only downside is the price. and the fact that CRC didnt have one when i wanted it. :'(

They are mint.  Not sure its worth getting the standard QR width version though.  The 10mm version on my Reign is as good as a bolt through or maxle.
