Well it still won't fit, the main problem with hubs not fitting is when you have a worn hub that is slightly thinner than it should be (worn cones and bearings = slightly thinner), which then bends the frame as you tighten the qr up...
So when you get a newer, or less worn, hub in there, it doesn't fit... So just slightly pull the drop outs apart, and the hub will go in...

ye good idea but im already having loads of problems with the f'ing axle. It is a sun ringle hub and you can get different sizes so mine is probably something like 135 so that plus the axle converters and nuts for the axle, itll be huge something like...................150 at least and that wont fit between the frame things so i think i should just get a new XT hub because then at least ill have the axle already on it.....

doesnt matter mate, thanks for your interest and help but ive just bought a new hub, it will be loads easier now thanks mate. do you want to buy a sun ringle hub?

it probably will fit its just got all the other crap like adapters and stuff that adds on to the width, but ill mesure it to see if its a 150 mm one because it probably is knowing me
