what helmet to get??
« on: December 21, 2005, 16:27:18 PM »

hiya every1,
my helmet is a bit buggerd so im going to purchase a new one. but i dont know what to go for, ive tried on troy-lees and there too tight round the ears when you put them on and take them off, and id get a motocross one so they would be even worse. ive got a fox tracer and its been class all year (apart from the peak  Wink) so i might just get another one of them. i was wondering what every1 else would recommend? cheers guys

p.s price isnt that bigger issue  Tongue

they look class, i had one of the 50 pound ones and it fitted like a treat, if they fit the same they might be perfect. the black one looks nice too and only

Go try loads and get the best fit, mx lids are good for value.  Advice for a model is a waste of time.

ive had a fox tracer and i hate it, ive got a tld d2 and i love it. id rather a MTB lid, as there more ventilation and its lighter. if you want the best looks, lightest and strogest- the D2 is for you

<sigh> is it that time of the month again?  Roll Eyes

I've said it before and I'll say it again. D2s look nice, but the finishing quality is poor, and they lack a crash replacement policy.

Personally, I really like the look of the new Giro Remedy. Whether or not it will fit you I couldn't say...

HE DOESN'T WANT A TROY LEE ANYWAY

and what are you talking about  - poor finishing quality - maybe if your buying the cheap ones......... Tongue

As for crash replacement, you should be replacing your helmet regularily anyway.
