Can't afford a second hand hv20 etc, and a warrenty would be nice. I'm leaning towards the canon, just as i like canon products but it seems a bit of a false economy when for a similar price i can get one with a harddrive.

Which one would you go for? Or ones for the same price range..?

Just making some riding videos, pratting around etc just to shove in my camera bag when i go up the woods. For anything serious i've got access to some ridiculous 3k 16mm things from my media department at school. I've already got a samsung vp-w70 8mm film thing, just want a digital equivilant tbh, just a bit more modern.

16mm is expensive to film on though.... if your considering being anything motion media related I'd save a little more... if its litrally a point and shoot your after then for £220 thats all your going to get so I'd still go 2nd hand and get something that records minidv.

So rather than cmos your probobly looking at a 3ccd camera.. and if you badly want to buy new then just find some reviews on those 3 and google "fs100 problems" ect to see if theres any major flaws.
