Damn. I was told the elites would probably be coming down about 3, so I turned up at 2 to watch...they were doing the podium ceremony... Why did they only have one run, was it something to do with it being damp?

Aparently it was too dark! We packed up, drove over 3 hours home, unpacked and it was still light enough to ride. B.C. w@*nkers ruined what would otherwise have been another brilliantly organised Pearce cycles weekend.
it wasnt too dark, well yer it was.. becuase of the MEGA thick fog, you couldnt actualy see 2 metres in front of you , and in the thick forested bits it was sooo dark !!
I'll also add that the conditions were fine to carry on riding, the fog had been steadily clearing all day. When I woke up in the morning I couldnt even see the massive red brick house a few fields away, but by the time the BC comissaire had decided the fog was too thick to carry on racing, it was possible to see right across to the other side of the valley. A very poor decision and quite obvious that the commisaire, whoever he was, was feeling un natural urges in the presence of so many athletic sweating men and had to rush home for a cold shower and a lie down. Pathetic.

lol the reason the commisaire made such a desicion was because he obviously hated the muddy cold conditions and wanted to get home to his gimp. If only we had riders involved with the sport at the top. I live in a dodgy area and will tempt pikeys to his house by saying he has the best bike in the world. lol
you all need to shut up, thats bc rules, they shouldn't have done the first run and by the time the second came it WAS too dark
think about it, it takes 2+ hours for all riders to come down the late seniors/experts/elites wouldn't have been able to see. Thats what you get it's WINTER
