Yeah, the reason halfords dont stock top gear is because the market is for familys coming to buy

I work there aswell, can get anything you want. The amount of time it takes us to get it in depends on which supplier we get it from. If its a mainstock item its usually 3-4 working days, although the pices are not at a reduced rate usually the rrp. But I get my staff discount  Wink

Also now, make sure you get them to order exactly what you want because most stores now are wanting full deposit and so they dont get lumberd with something they wont sell.

yeh,the reason they dont have anything on their website is because they dont want to promote it too much.As someone said above they are focusing on family stuff. But we can get more in than ever, virtually every company to hand. The other reason they dont keep anything in stock is they are tryin to turn the turnover into double what it was when they bought it and in order to do this they are cutting out every special order thats just for display as most of the time random bits dont sell like they would in a normal bike shop or online, purely because we charge the RRP for everything virtually.....

The last time they had a trial of direct with supplier ordering there were a lot of stores who went and ordered way too much all of which got sold off at half price, all the dump code items like hope 979195 any halfords staff may recognise were just sold at half RRp and halfords lost a lot of money but it free'd up capital to put back into the core line. Im a Ex Team leader BTW.

You would be better off with a supplier list, there are more lines than ever available, most staff dont venture onto PTS and delve in and see what there is available.
