« on: February 28, 2006, 10:52:59 AM »

ok im planning on getting a TLD helemet and am wanting size advise, i have a head which measures 59/60 cm, around the largest part of my head. now unfortunatly my mates who have TLD lids are in at opposite ends of the country, so cant really try one on. do these helemt come up tight, or loose? and whats the choice of pads like that you get with them?

You want a medium large, you have the same size head as me.
I didn't need the sticky size pads as it fits pretty good. It's fairly tight fitting but comfortable enough to wear almost all day. I love mine, it's saved my ass more than once!......Am I wearing it wrong!!!

my bonce is of a similar size to yours.

and i do not use a TLD as it was the most (well almost) uncomfortable lid i have every worn. (maybe the Arai was a bit more uncomfortable).

as i will say to anyone check the returns policy or get your head inside a few lids.

i have a Shoei head btw.

I have worn glasses with it on before without any real effects, so it shouldn't pose a problem.
Nicklouse has a good point, take it out of the box as if your going to send it back, I know a few riders who just can't get on with TLD lids......As they say "sometimes ya just have to suck it & see" Grin

I've got L/XL, but need something larger! My head is about 62cm around the widest part, so it looks like a SE helmet instead. Luckily my job in the freak show circus pays well!
